Kids' Workshop Saturdays At Home Depot

One fun thing we found when Brian started working at Home Depot is that they host a kid workshop on the first Saturday of each month. Brian started helping with it in January, so now the boys are regulars. They give the boys a cute little apron and pins for each project they complete. This month they assembled race cars - a HUGE hit with Casen and Liam!!!

It's Been A While

It has been too long since I posted. Actually, it has been about 11 months - that's almost a year! I don't think I could ever catch up on all that has happened this past year, but I hope to try and stay current. : ) We will see.

Fun with Uncle Jor Jor

We apparently like getting pictures of the boys with Uncle Jor Jor's hats on - see earlier post with their sailor hats. Their Uncle Jor Jor had his hats out and was trying to get the boys to "pose" with them on so I could take pics - all while they are eating their gummy bears. Here are the results:

Casen thought even Momma had to get in on the action.

Liam was more interested in getting ahold of his brother's cup & wiping out his drink.

Handsome boy.

In Training

I think Liam is in training for when he is three and can play on the YMCA Soccer League.

A Treasured Blessing

It always makes me smile to see them laughing together!

One of my very favorite authors - Francine Rivers is having a contest run by her publishing company. Check out the link below and enter to win a full set of her books and they are giving away free e-book of Leota's Garden - if you haven't read it yet, this would be a good opportunity. My favorite of her books is REDEEMING LOVE. To enter: http://www.tyndale.com/blog/?p=1042

I'm a Soccer Grandma Now! (Cue from Amanda's blog)

To be honest, I wasn't into athletics growing up - I did do track one year of high school but got kicked off the team (another story for another time). I guess our kids inherited the "no sports" gene from me, but not our grandsons. They have both been in love with any kind of round objects since about 6 weeks old I think! At his first Christmas, Casen took my cool "creativity" gift of Tadoodles and immediately started throwing them. This event dashed my dreams of spending hours being creative with my grandson, but I did notice a sparkle in Bunny's eye!
I've got the sparkle in my eye now too! I am loving getting to watch him and his little team practice and play their games. They are only 3 but they are so cute - their short little legs running, their stop in their tracks wonderment when they connect with the ball, getting distracted by anything that crosses their line of sight and their playing nice with each other. Good times!
